Out To A Tall Lighthouse

I was somewhat bored and upset at something so I decided to do some writing. [:

Here are some random thoughts of mine put together to form some poor form of Free Verse Poetry.

Out To A Tall Lighthouse
Ah, take the empty seat next to me,
I've been thinking long, looking at the sea,
Could you etch me a silent silhouette of the fire in a specific individuals heartbeat?
Impossible.
Last night I never met the glowing light hung on the balcony of the high city storehouse.
Such a light that would draw crowds of moths from every part of the world.
It had been left on ten years ago.
Without any true visitors it grew lonely,
Yet it's light never grew dimmer.
No, it breathed with a consistent glow of radiant light.
It found friendship among it's winged companions,
It's dull mute acquaintances brought warmth in for their attractive friend.
As I thought deeply of this affair,
My gaze shifted further out to a tall lighthouse,
How majestically it stood,
Shining its powerful beam out into the waters,
It was lonelier than the lamp hanging on the balcony,
Yet it never disappointed the fishermen,
It never let them down,
It knew what it was made to do,
And that if it were anywhere else it would be miserable.

I suppose my aim in this piece,
Is to remind you,
That your purpose has been defined,
Yet we repel our life's design.
With no true resolve,
Ignoring motivation, determination,
Forgetting our commitment,
We walk away.

I am of the firm belief that:
No matter how hopeless and foolish our task seems,
No matter if it reaps no results,
No matter how much tolerance is asked of us,
No matter how many storms are headed our way,
No matter how much fear clouds our minds,
No matter how patient we must remain...
We must do as we are asked,
We must shine our lights,
Because without it we are empty,
Because it is what we were meant to do,
And because someone, somewhere is watching you.

A Sea of Faces

"the more people i meet, the more lonely i become." - I got this off the blog of an acquaintance of mine that goes by the name of Maddi Williams. Her blogs are definitely very inspirational/inspiring to me. Her ability to use simple words and get you thinking deeply is remarkable. However, I'm certain she does not remember me or even knows that someone names Joy Geisinger is even her friend on myspace.

Anyways,
Back to Blog.

That one sentence got me thinking, and I decided to elaborate on her thought.

How could you possibly feel lonelier when you meet more people?

Does a person's inability to bring you true comfort or show you true love, leave the definition of "feeling alone" undefeated?

For me, yes.
This world really has lost all its glory.
God created Eve for Adam so that he would not feel lonely.
These people we come across are unable to console us, or show us undying affection or "love."
I am alone.
I am truly alone.

They have the capability of only comforting you at a certain level. When you require uplifting beyond that, I am afraid, God is your sole answer.
But a Hopeful answer all the same.

No one can bring you more hope than hope itself.

Otherwise, no matter how many faces you come across...
You will ALWAYS be ALONE.

Now looking at "love."

Your boyfriend/Girlfriend, parent, sibling, cousin, best friend, grandparent can show you a ton of love. However, we are not perfect and we do make mistakes, so we will let you down.
Then, to whom will you turn to?

We will let you down.
We will fail you.
No matter how many of us you meet.

So look Up.

One of my thinking blogs... I'm thinking with words.

Joy.

By Your Side wherever you fall...

"Why are you striving these days?
Why are you trying to earn grace?
Why are you crying?
Let me lift up your face
Just don't turn away.

Why are you looking for love?
Why are you still searching as if I'm not enough?
To where will you go child?
Tell me where will you run?
To where will you run?

And I'll be by your side
Wherever you fall
In the dead of night
Whenever you call
And please don't fight
These hands that are holding you
My hands are holding you.

Look at these hands and my side
They swallowed the grave on that night
When I drank the world's sin
So I could carry you in
And give you life
I want to give you life

Cause I, I love you
I want you to know
That I, I love you
I'll never let you go." - *By Your Side* - Tenth Avenue North

I was planning on posting a few lines off of that song but decided that putting the whole thing up there would be a better idea [:

You are NOT alone.
When you are there, down on your knees, or lying on the floor, helpless, you are NOT alone.
Please, turn to God, because he wants "to give you life." He wants you to be happy.

Jeremiah 29:11 says, "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

His plans are to make you hopeful and have a Beautiful future so no matter what you're going through, you can come to Him. His intentions are good.
He Loves You like no one else can.

So when you are there, feeling like a complete failure or feeling lost, or feeling hopeless, come to Him, and He will comfort you.

Deuteronomy 33:27 says, "The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms. He will drive out your enemy before you, saying, 'Destroy him!'"

[: Be Hopeful and turn towards the person who died to save your life. Let him make you joyful.

Love,
Joy.

Answer My Questions!...Please? [Boys and Girls]

"When it all comes down to it...
What’s the use in knowing all the answers."

- *I Don't Know A Thing* - Lucy Schwartz

haha yes this is definitely my new favorite song.
And the lines above ^ are something you should think about.

What is one question we often ask ourselves when something difficult happens?
"Why is this happening?"

Well rest assured, there is a reason; and if you stand strong, you will have gained something by the end of it. Though, if you cannot see the good it has done then perhaps the miracle was silent and you will benefit from it when you are older.

Yet knowing this, we still manage to ask that question approximately fifteen more times.
Have you ever thought that, perhaps, you are not supposed to know why you are going through a tough time; and that possibly, if you knew the reason, you would not learn as much from it?

Have Faith, please.

"It's not faith if, if you use your eyes
If you use your eyes
If you use your eyes"
- *Miracle* - Paramore

Now what is the point of having faith, and trusting that you will acquire some experience from this? Well, it will help you feel stronger. Also, because life brings storms more than once, you will be ready for the next one. You will not be as fearful.
Why does life bring more storms? Well, that is a completely different matter and it often has to do with the choices we make.

But for now... trust; have faith, it will pay off. There is a reason for your trouble.
When the time comes for you to shine, you will be thankful for this experience.
Be hopeful, not knowing all the answers can be very good for you, because, you just may not be ready to know them.

I suppose this blog was written for me as well, since, I have to let go of a best friend and I am still wondering why I am in this situation.
Also for a friend of mine that just lost his very good friend in a car accident.

Not every questions 'needs' to be or 'should' be answered.

Discovering/Creating Yourself [: Try it? [Girls]

Okay, well I'm getting impatient about starting this blog [:

So I decided to begin with something that has been on my mind a bit, recently.

Who am I?

Well, I am a person.
An individual, strong, person created in God's image.
Okay, so that is a one line description; but who am I really?
Details, please? [:

Well that's when it hit me that, perhaps, I should make a list of things, I enjoy, or things I love.
Things about me that are new, and that no one else may know; or things about me that I know for sure and that everyone knows.
Just simple things... little things.

Some people call this, creating yourself or discovering yourself.
Well I am going to start with simple things, and I am going to add stuff to this list as I go about.
You know, you could be, eighty years old and still discover something about yourself. [:

1. I love daisies and sunflowers.
2. I really enjoy Acoustic/Folk music.
3. I also enjoy Country music.
4. Pictures of the sky amaze me.

... Well this is the beginning of the list of remarkable/simple/special/beautiful things about me. [:
Make one for yourself, it will help you when you feel pressured by the world to be a certain someone. Also, when you are older, you can look back and really understand who you were. These simple points are amazing.

Just stop for a few minutes. Write something down. [:

your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
